Describe the bug
Events like poller recovery/failure should be visible in the events UI, but it is not clear if that is working.

Need to test, could try taking down the poller for 5+ minutes then seeing if it generates a failure, bringing it backup to see a recovery, etc.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to '...'
  2. Click on '....'
  3. Scroll down to '....'
  4. See error

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

they are showing up, just with invalid dates and possibly other fields not rendering in the UI
